The company has launched a new manual film dispenser and self-contracting film designed to reduce musculoskeletal strain and improve wrapping efficiency.

Antalis Packaging has announced the addition of Grip Systems hand stretch film dispensers and films to its portfolio. The launch targets the logistics and pallet wrapping sector with a focus on improving workforce health and safety while reducing operational costs.
Manual pallet wrapping is a common activity in warehouses that often requires operators to stretch and move in ways that can lead to musculoskeletal strains and injuries. According to Antalis, the new Grip Stretch Film Dispenser is designed specifically to mitigate these risks by removing stress and strain on the operator.
The dispenser system weighs less than 1kg, intended to make the wrapping of awkward loads and high corners easier with minimum physical effort. It also features a skid-plate that allows operators to wrap the bottom corners of pallets without having to crouch in uncomfortable positions.
Alongside the hardware, the system utilizes Grip Film. This material is designed to automatically contract when applied, creating a strapping effect that secures irregular loads. The film features reinforced edging and high puncture resistance to maintain stability during transit. It is available in ‘Elite’ (lighter duty) and ‘Premium’ (heavy duty) clear options, with tinted versions available on request.
Antalis claims that the system not only improves safety but also offers commercial benefits, stating that operations can achieve up to 40 percent savings in time, waste, and costs.
Steve Marples, Category Manager at Antalis, commented on the efficiency of the new system. “Grip Systems’ film dispenser and films is ideal for operations wrapping pallets by hand… I’d also recommend all sizes of business take advantage of Antalis’ free stretchCONSULT service. It’s a really valuable exercise that ensures customers receive advice on both the best equipment and stretch film for their operation,” said Marples.
