Dublin-based event production company Vinehall has invested in a Zünd G3 3XL-2500 digital cutter to support its move into a new 30,000-square-foot facility and enhance its sustainable manufacturing capabilities.
Vinehall, a second-generation, family-run conference and exhibition production company based near Dublin, has announced the investment in a Zünd G3 3XL-2500. The move comes as the business undergoes a significant period of growth, including a relocation from a 20,000-square-foot facility to a new 30,000-square-foot premises.
This expansion allows Vinehall to bring its full service offering, including design, fabrication, and large-format print, under one roof. The Zünd installation is a central part of a major investment programme scheduled across 2025 and 2026, aimed at maintaining the high standards required by Ireland’s leading brands.

Sustainability was a primary driver for the investment. The Zünd system has enabled Vinehall to reduce material waste through precise cutting and efficient nesting. It has also expanded the company’s ability to work with eco-friendly substrates such as Re-board and SWEDBOARD. Gerard McElhinney, managing director at Vinehall, said, “Reducing waste was a key driver for us and the Zünd has made a real difference to how efficiently we use materials, while maintaining the quality our clients expect.”
The new technology has specifically improved the production of silicone edge graphics (SEG), a major component of the company’s exhibition work. Previously, cutting silicone by hand was a manual, time-consuming process. The Zünd system has made this workflow faster and more accurate, allowing skilled operators to focus on higher-value tasks.
Beyond textiles, the Zünd handles a wide range of rigid materials, including Foamex and Dibond. This precision is essential for matrix panels, where installation depends on absolute accuracy. McElhinney explained, “Our clients trust us to deliver, that means we need machinery we can trust for absolute precision and quality. The accuracy we achieve on the Zünd gives us total confidence on even the most complex projects.”
Looking toward the remainder of 2026, Vinehall plans to use the machine’s versatility to explore new markets, including the processing of acoustic felt and panels.
Vinehall selected the Zünd system following extensive market research and benchmarking. McElhinney added, “With nearly 40 years in the industry, we’ve learned the importance of investing in the right technology. We needed a solution that would deliver long-term reliability and performance. Zünd was the clear choice for where we want the business to go.”
