Universal Graphics upgrades its production fleet with HP Latex FS60W to deliver 3m-wide interior branding and sustainable vehicle graphics.
Universal Graphics has reinforced its long-standing partnership with HP through the installation of an HP Latex FS60W printer. Operating across Dublin, Monaghan, and Waterford, the company has spent nearly three decades evolving from a fleet branding specialist into a diversified provider of signage, window films, and interior branding. The latest investment, supplied by HP distribution partner NTI Diatec, is designed to support this continued expansion while improving turnaround speeds and print quality.

The HP Latex FS60W joins an existing fleet that includes HP Latex 3200, 800W, and 800 models. Capable of printing at speeds up to 121sq m/hr in two-pass mode, the new 3.2m-wide machine offers 1200 x 1200dpi resolution and a nine-colour ink set, including high-opacity white. This configuration is particularly effective for vehicle graphics and event displays, but it is the machine’s width that offers the most significant strategic advantage for the firm’s interior division.
Aisling Savage, Sales Support and Marketing at Universal Graphics, noted that the ability to print full 3m rolls allows for a seamless finish on interior applications, removing the requirement for joins or overlapping panels. She stated, “It’s faster, higher quality, and uses environmentally friendly, non-solvent inks, allowing us to offer an even broader range of premium branding solutions. It’s an excellent upgrade to what we already have in place.”
Sustainability is a component of the company’s service offering, supported by the use of water-based HP Latex Inks. These inks are formulated for low volatile organic compound (VOC) content, making them suitable for sensitive indoor environments such as hospitals and schools. Furthermore, the inks are housed in recyclable cardboard cartridges, reducing plastic waste and aligning with the environmental requirements of Universal Graphics’ multinational corporate clients.
The decision to remain with HP technology is rooted in over 15 years of operational experience with the brand. The consistency of the output and the reliability of the support network were cited as critical factors in the decision to bypass alternative technologies.
Savage added, “HP has been a valued partner of ours for more than 15 years and the HP Latex machines have helped our business grow. Given the manufacturer’s consistent dedication to our needs and the exceptional support they provide, we see no reason to look elsewhere.”
