UFABRIK welcomes Monika Mourao as their new European Sales Director, advancing the next chapter in the company’s growth strategy.
With 23 years in the industry and a formidable reputation for sales, Monika Mourao has helped shape markets and drive applications across EMEA, experience she now brings to UFABRIK.

Monika began her career selling banner media and flag textiles for screen printing. She went on to join Gandy Digital, responsible for the development of the AquaJet family of printers. This was a ground-breaking development in water-based dye-sublimation printing, allowing for direct-to-substrate printing on polyester textiles. As General Manager, Poland, she helped introduce 3.2m and 5m wide, AquaJet printers and related textiles to the European market.
After Gandy Digital was acquired by Agfa, Monika became Sales Manager in Poland for the Jeti and Anapurna printers, developing close relationships with media suppliers and customers to expand applications and increase market demand.
Entrepreneurial zeal led her to establish her own distribution business which focussed on textile-led applications and textile accessories. She introduced materials to the market and became the first dealer for Berger textiles in Poland, Czechoslovakia, and the Baltic state.
After eight years, Monika sold the business and joined EFI, where for nearly a decade she has served as Sales Development Manager in Poland, driving growth and nurturing long-term customer relationships.
Speaking about her new role, Monika said, “I was looking for a new challenge and there is a huge opportunity in regions like Poland, the Netherlands, and Benelux, where customers are waiting for fresh energy and a solutions-orientated integrated approach. UFABRIK is uniquely positioned to deliver this.”
Robin East, co-founder of UFABRIK, added, “I have known Monika for a long time. There are not many individuals in this industry that have her depth of knowledge and breadth of experience. She has been involved with wide format digital printing from the beginning, and like us, recognised the inevitable migration towards digital textiles.
“What makes Monika special is that she’s sold both print production equipment and materials. She truly understands the printer technology, plus the challenges and the applications of digital textiles, invaluable when guiding customers in the adoption of new solutions.
“She brings credibility, trust, and numerous strong relationships that will propel UFABRIK forward. We’re delighted she has joined us at senior board level and also as a shareholder in the business.”
Monika joins UFABRIK as an equity director, fully integrated into the core business. With her knowledge, skills and trusted industry relationships, she is ideally positioned to accelerate UFABRIK’s growing success across Europe.
