Super-Wide Digital has announced plans to expand its service offering following the installation of a Meevo MX Event with SEAS sewing machine from Soyang Hardware.
Super-Wide Digital has announced the installation of a Meevo MX Event with SEAS sewing machine at its production facility in Bacup, Lancashire. The trade-only large-format supplier purchased the system from Soyang Hardware in the summer of 2025 to enhance its textile finishing capabilities.

Operating now in its 25th year, Super-Wide Digital provides a broad range of print solutions, including banners, textiles, one-piece wallpapers, and rigid boards. The company states that it prioritizes ongoing investment in technology to maintain service quality for its loyal customer base. This strategy drove the decision to acquire the new sewing solution.
The Meevo MX Event with SEAS functions as a silicone edge automated sewing system. It automatically joins large-format panels with high precision. Soyang Hardware, the UK supplier, notes that the machine delivers high-quality results for large-format display textile applications.
Since the installation, Super-Wide Digital reports significant improvements in production workflows. Andy Huskinson, Digital Production Manager and Comms Development at Super-Wide Digital, explains that the device speeds up the sewing process and streamlines operations.
“Its high-speed motor and automatic thread cutter save time by streamlining the process,” says Huskinson. He adds that this efficiency allows the team to meet deadlines more effectively and produce more output in shorter timeframes. Huskinson emphasizes that the company has always specialized in silicone edge graphics, but this investment pushes the fabric department to “new heights”.
Huskinson notes that the high-precision stitching delivers a more consistent and professional finish compared to manual sewing methods. He points out that the machine’s automation reduces the time required to produce finished fabrics, which facilitates faster turnarounds. Additionally, the Meevo performs multiple sewing operations on a single unit. Huskinson claims this versatility reduces running costs compared to operating separate pieces of equipment.
The production team currently uses the machine to process various materials, including backlit, blackback, and frontlit display fabrics. These projects range from small lightbox panels to fabrics exceeding five metres in size.
Looking ahead, the company plans to use the machine to explore new markets. Huskinson comments: “We were impressed by how it gives us a clean and uniform finish when attaching the keder to the fabric’s edge. We’re looking forward to seeing how it manages with fabric joins, as this is something we have yet to really try.”
