Independent certification confirms Soyang’s materials incorporate SEAQUAL Marine Plastic, recycled from litter collected from oceans, rivers and beaches.
Accrington-based Soyang Europe has announced that Soyang Technologies has secured the SEAQUAL Certificate from the SEAQUAL Initiative.
The SEAQUAL Initiative is a community of organisations, businesses and individuals that work together to remove plastic waste from oceans, rivers, beaches and coastlines. Licensed manufacturers convert that waste into SEAQUAL Marine Plastic, a traceable raw material used in applications including textiles.
By using SEAQUAL-certified materials in its products, Soyang is turning recovered marine waste into recycled textiles.
The certification adds to Soyang’s existing environmental credentials, which include OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), alongside recognition from FESPA UK for its work in sustainable practices and waste reduction.

It is further evidence of our long-term drive to deliver high-quality, environmentally responsible solutions to customers. We are already working on SEAQUAL-certified textiles orders for applications including flags, display and blockout graphics.”
