Less than six months in at MTWO and Nathan McLauchlan-Welsh is flying

We first interviewed Nathan McLauchlan-Welsh when he joined MTWO Search back in July. MTWO has announced that he has now completed his probation, and it’s clear he’s hit the ground running and making a significant difference to the business.

Nathan and Matt working hard together to help people find their ideal job

When Nathan joined, he spoke about how much he enjoyed helping people and how recruitment seemed like the perfect role for him. By completing his probation period before the six-month period was up, it appears that his enthusiasm was well-founded.

Exceeding expectations and making connections

Nathan’s early success has surpassed Matt Hanley’s expectations. “The original plan was to bring in someone already establishing a strong reputation in the sign and print side of recruitment, and Nathan has definitely delivered. He has quickly developed a great understanding of the sign industry by getting himself out there, building connections and growing his knowledge,” explains Matt

Nathan adds, “I’m delighted with how it’s gone so far. A real highlight for me was the Print Show. I loved this opportunity to meet so many people and establish important contacts. I love the human side of recruitment, and working here with Matt has given me the opportunity to guide people through what can be a nerve-wracking but exciting time in their lives.”

Matt continues, “Bringing someone new into a small team was a crucial and strategic decision. It was essential to find someone I could trust and who would represent the company well. I am delighted to say that Nathan has done this brilliantly, and it has been a joy to see him grow quickly into the role and to flourish. Mind you, passing probation means the hard work really begins!”

The Bigger Picture

Nathan’s personal success in this role fits into Matt’s wider growth plan for the business. His goal is to have a dedicated head of recruitment for each of his three core sectors: Print, Signage, and Packaging.

“It’s impressive how well Nathan has performed, and it aligns with my growth plans for covering Print, Signage, and Packaging. He has now completed his probation and is eager to develop the recruitment side of the sign industry business. He’s the ideal example of this model working,” says Matt.

Nathan concludes, “I am so pleased on a personal level to have completed my probation, and I am looking forward to seeing where this role goes next.”

Nathan wants to connect with more professionals across the sector. If you’re looking for talent in the Signage or Print industry, or seeking a new opportunity, you can reach him directly at nathan@m-two.uk
