Yupo is a range of 100 per cent recyclable, tree-free synthetic papers engineered for high-durability printing and visual communication projects. Manufactured from extruded polypropylene resin, the substrate combines the smooth finish and printability of traditional paper with the physical toughness of plastic film. The resulting material is fully waterproof, tear-resistant, and impervious to chemicals, oils, and grease.
The product portfolio features several distinct grades designed for different printing technologies and installation methods. Options include standard offset and flexographic sheets, specialised digital substrates certified for HP Indigo press runs, and translucent films for backlit display panels. For temporary graphics, YupoTako and YupoJelly utilise innovative micro-suction technology. These self-adhesive alternatives cling securely to flat, non-porous surfaces like glass or metal without glue, leaving no sticky residue upon removal.
Because the surface is completely non-absorbent, Yupo delivers sharp image definition, vivid ink reproduction, and excellent colour retention. The material maintains its structural integrity and dimensional stability even when exposed to water, harsh outdoor weather, or heavy handling. Converting processes such as die-cutting, folding, scoring, and laminating are straightforward on standard finishing equipment.
Typical commercial applications for the range include outdoor posters, waterproof maps, restaurant menus, durable product labels, shelf talkers, and window graphics. Its easy, bubble-free application makes it a practical substrate for short-term promotional displays and retail installations.
