The swissQprint Kudu is a high-end UV LED flatbed printer engineered for high-volume production and extensive application versatility. Featuring a 3.2 × 2 metre flatbed, the Kudu is built on a robust, newly developed platform designed for precision and 24/7 operation. Its core strength lies in its productivity, achieving a maximum print speed of 341 m²/h, facilitated by up to three rows of printheads. The printer is the first in the swissQprint range to offer ten freely configurable colour channels, providing significant scope for customisation to meet specific market demands.
This modularity allows for a wide array of ink configurations beyond CMYK, including light colours (cyan, magenta, black), white, effect varnish, primer, orange, and fluorescent neon inks (yellow and pink). The Kudu maintains a high standard of quality with an addressable resolution of up to 1350 dpi. Standard features include a tandem function for non-stop production and the Tip Switch Vacuum system with 260 zones for precise media hold-down. An optional roll-to-roll unit can be added to handle flexible media up to 3.2 metres wide, transforming it into a fully hybrid system.
