The Mutoh XpertJet 1682SR DS Pro is a 64-inch dye-sublimation printer designed for high-repetition, colour-critical textile and soft signage production. It is built on the established XpertJet platform in Japan and integrates two AccuFine HD 3200-nozzle printheads arranged in a staggered configuration to enhance drop placement accuracy at elevated speeds. The printer supports up to eight ink channels, including dual CMYK, to enable extended colour gamut and finer tonal rendition. It incorporates multiple automation tools such as DropMaster2, FeedMaster, Nozzle Area Select, and Media Tracker for consistent output and reduced operator intervention.
To minimise visible banding, the unit features Mutoh’s i-screen weaving algorithm. The flatbed is replaced here by multi-stage pressure rollers and motorised take-up systems (40 kg or 100 kg) to handle roll media flexibly and reliably. The printer is paired with Mutoh’s DS4 ProFlex inks, which are optimised for polyester materials, transfer paper handling, and more stable colour performance under varied temperature and operational conditions. Typical production speeds reach up to 86 m²/h, balancing throughput and precision. The machine is intended for applications including sportswear, interior textiles, promotional items and other industrial settings. As of summer 2025, it is available across the EMEA region through Mutoh’s certified distributor network.
