The Mutoh XpertJet 1641SR Pro is a 64-inch (162-cm) wide format sign & display printer designed for roll-media work using eco-solvent inks. It features a single AccuFine piezo print head, which includes an extra-long nozzle row to deliver improved dot placement accuracy and increased throughput relative to its predecessor. The printer supports multiple head heights (1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, 4.0 mm) allowing for media of different thicknesses, and comes with automated features for easier operation: bi-directional alignment (DropMaster2), media feed adjustment (Feed Master), media roll tracking, nozzle area selection, automatic nozzle checking (optional), and a pressure mechanism that adjusts to media thickness in several stages.
The supplied ink is Mutoh MS41 eco-solvent, GREENGUARD Gold certified, in a standard four-colour CMYK configuration. Ink is supplied in bags of 300 ml or 1,000 ml. The printer is bundled with Mutoh’s VerteLith RIP software alongside FlexiDESIGNER Mutoh Edition 21, which provides tools for layout, ICC profiling, colour management, soft proofing, bleed, and Pantone spot colour matching.
Maximum print resolution is 1200×1200 dpi; common print modes include 300, 600, 900 and 1200 dpi. The maximum printable width is about 1,615 mm, with media handling for rolls on 2-inch or 3-inch cores. Media thickness supported ranges from about 0.3 mm to 2.8 mm depending on the chosen head height. The machine is suitable for indoor and outdoor signage, banners, posters, display graphics, wall murals, and similar sign & display applications, especially where durable and high-quality output is required.
