The Mimaki UJV55-320 is a grand-format, roll-to-roll LED-UV printer designed for high-volume production of super-wide graphics. With a maximum print width of 3200 mm, it is capable of handling large-scale applications like billboards and exhibition graphics. A key feature is its twin-roll printing capability, which allows two rolls of media up to 1524 mm wide to be printed simultaneously, significantly increasing productivity for smaller jobs. The printer features a staggered array of four on-demand piezo printheads, delivering a maximum resolution of 1200 dpi. It achieves a top speed of 110 m²/h on banner material in draft mode.
The Mimaki UJV55-320 uses Mimaki’s LUS-120 UV-curable inks, which are GREENGUARD Gold certified and available in a 4-colour (CMYK) or 7-colour (CMYKLcLmW) configuration. The inclusion of white ink allows for multi-layer printing, which is particularly useful for printing on transparent media or creating high-density backlit graphics. A standout feature is the inline LED lightbox, which allows the operator to check the quality of backlit prints during the production run. The printer incorporates Mimaki’s core technologies, including Mimaki Advanced Pass System 4 (MAPS4) to reduce banding, and the Nozzle Check Unit (NCU) and Nozzle Recovery System (NRS) for continuous operation. The UJV55-320 is supplied with RasterLink RIP software and has a 1-year warranty.
