The Mimaki UJF-7151plus II is a UV-LED flatbed inkjet printer designed for high-precision, multipurpose printing on rigid or semi-rigid substrates. It supports a maximum print area of 710 × 510 mm (28″ × 20″) and can accommodate media up to 153 mm (6 in) in height or structures, with a weight load capacity of 30 kg. The machine employs eight staggered on-demand piezo print heads, enabling a maximum resolution of 1,800 dpi, and is capable of both standard and high-definition output modes.
It uses UV-curable inks including options for colour, white, clear (gloss), primer, metallic, and silicon metallic (MUH-100-Si) formulations, dependent on the ink set installed. A UV-LED curing system handles ink polymerisation during printing. The build includes a single-zone vacuum bed with pin registration and a 4-axis drive table to maintain a flat surface during printing. Typical throughput in four-colour mode is around 8 m²/h (22 beds/hour), though production speeds will depend on resolution, coverage, and media type.
The system supports automation features via Mimaki Device Language (MDL) for object transport, and works with the bundled RasterLink7 RIP software. Use cases span direct-to-object printing, promotional goods, signage, decorative panels, awards and industrial prototyping. The product was launched as an upgrade in Mimaki’s UJF series, enhancing head count and throughput over earlier models.
