The Mimaki UJF-6042 MkII e is a high-quality desktop UV flatbed printer designed for direct-to-object printing on a wide array of materials. It is capable of printing on substrates up to 153mm thick and has a maximum printable area of 610mm x 420mm (A2 size). The printer features four on-demand piezo printheads arranged in a staggered configuration, allowing for simultaneous two-layer printing of colour and spot colours for enhanced productivity. The Mimaki UJF-6042 MkII e is compatible with a range of UV-LED curable inks, including rigid (LH-100), flexible (LUS-120), and highly flexible (LUS-150) options, as well as a primer (PR-200) for increased adhesion to challenging materials. The ink configurations can include white, clear, and primer inks, enabling a variety of value-added effects such as gloss, matte, embossed, and spot varnish. The printer’s mechanical structure is designed for stability, with a table-driven printing system that moves the print table vertically to reduce vibration and improve positional accuracy. For reliable operation, it includes the Nozzle Check Unit (NCU), Nozzle Recovery System (NRS), and Mimaki Circulation Technology (MCT) for white ink.
