The Mimaki JFX500-2131 is a grand-format UV-LED flatbed printer designed for high-speed, high-precision industrial printing. With a maximum print area of 2.1m x 3.1m, it can accommodate large-scale media, including standard 8′ x 4′ boards. The printer is equipped with six on-demand piezo printheads in a staggered configuration, allowing for production speeds up to 60m²/h in CMYK mode and 45m²/h with white ink printing. It can handle media up to 50mm thick and up to 50 kg/sqm, making it suitable for a wide variety of rigid substrates such as acrylic, glass, wood, and metal.
The Mimaki JFX500-2131 uses a variety of UV-curable ink types, including the hard LH-100 and the flexible LUS-150, offering versatility for different applications. It supports ink configurations with CMYK, white, and clear inks, and can perform multi-layer printing. Key features for high-quality output include Mimaki’s Intelligent Microstepping System (IMS) for fine dot placement, variable dot printing with a minimum size of 4pl, and the Mimaki Advanced Pass System (MAPS) to reduce banding. For enhanced stability and reliability, it includes Mimaki Circulation Technology (MCT) to prevent white ink pigment settling and a Nozzle Recovery Function to maintain image quality. The printer is supplied with RasterLink RIP software and uses a 2L bulk ink system, which contributes to lower running costs.
