The Gongzheng HB18UV PRO is a mesh belt hybrid UV LED printer with a maximum print width of 1,850 mm, designed to print on both flexible roll media and rigid sheet materials up to 40 mm thick. The unit uses a belt-conveying system with retractable extension tables, allowing the bed to be folded away for roll-fed substrates or extended to support rigid boards.
The printer is fitted with between three and eight Epson I3200 U1 printheads, configurable in KCMY, KCMY plus white, or white plus KCMY plus varnish arrangements, enabling multi-layer print structures such as white-under-colour, colour-white-colour and day/night graphics. Curing is handled by a dual water-cooled LED UV system. Ink is supplied via a 1.5-litre bulk system, with a dedicated white ink recirculation and stirring mechanism to reduce pigment settlement and nozzle blockages.
Maximum resolution is 720 x 1,800 dpi, with production speeds ranging from approximately 8 sqm/h (CWC, quality mode) up to 59 sqm/h (six-head configuration, draft mode). Roll media up to 50 kg and 300 mm diameter is supported on a 3-inch core. Media compatibility spans flexible substrates including vinyl, backlit film, fabric, wallpaper and leather, as well as rigid materials such as PVC board, foam board, corrugated paper, aluminium sheet and wood.
The machine uses Gongzheng’s REI-3 UV ink, which is Greenguard Gold certified, and connects via USB 3.0 (external) and fibre-optic (internal) interfaces. Bundled RIP options include FlexiPRINT, with ONYX available as an alternative. The printer requires a single-phase 220V AC supply and operates within a stated temperature range of 23–29°C.
