The Fujifilm Acuity Triton is a 1.6-metre roll-fed large format printer that utilises AQUAFUZE, a water-based UV ink developed by Fujifilm. This ink technology combines the low environmental impact of water-based formulations with the instant curing and durability benefits of UV systems. Designed for high-quality output and energy efficiency, the printer features low-temperature drying, minimal odour, and broad material compatibility without the need for primers or optimisers.
With a maximum resolution of up to 1,200 × 2,400 dpi, the Acuity Triton offers five selectable print modes: draft, high-speed, production, quality, and high-quality. Speeds range from approximately 5.8 to 17.2 square metres per hour depending on the selected mode and media type. The printer supports a maximum media width of 1,625 mm, with a maximum printable width of 1,615 mm, and can accommodate media rolls up to 1,500 metres in length and 30 kilograms in weight.
The system employs micro piezo printhead technology with variable droplet sizes from 3.4 to 10.6 picolitres. A three-way heating system (pre-heat, platen, and dryer) works alongside UV LED curing to ensure reliable drying across different substrates. The device includes pinch roller media handling and adjustable head height settings for consistent output. Supplied with VerteLith RIP software, the printer is compatible with other major RIP platforms and meets a range of environmental standards including GREENGUARD Gold, AgBB, and French VOC A+ certification.
