The ColorJet Verve Flatbed range consists of heavy-duty industrial UV-LED flatbed printers engineered for direct-to-substrate printing on full-size rigid media. Built on a welded steel chassis to eliminate carriage vibration at high linear speeds, these machines utilise industrial Ricoh Gen5 or Gen6 grey-scale printheads capable of firing 7 to 21 picolitre variable drops for photographic detail and smooth tonal gradations.
The bed design incorporates pneumatic registration pins for rapid mechanical sheet alignment and a multi-zone vacuum system with reverse-blow functionality for repositioning heavy media sheets. The dual UV-LED curing system operates at 395nm wavelength, achieving immediate ink cross-linking on heat-sensitive substrates like fluted polypropylene, acrylic, glass, dibond, and timber up to 100mm in thickness without material bowing.
An automated white ink circulation system maintains pigment suspension through the sub-tanks and printhead manifolds, eliminating nozzle clogging and ensuring opaque white undercoats on transparent or dark media. Configurable with CMYK, Light Cyan, Light Magenta, White, and Varnish channels, the Verve series supports spot gloss, flood varnish, and 3D tactile texture effects.
The ColorJet Verve Flatbed range provides trade printers and sign manufacturers with an industrial platform for high-throughput rigid board production. The rigid machine chassis ensures long-term operational accuracy under continuous high-volume printing demands.
