The Agfa Onset Panthera FB 3216 is a high-productivity UV LED flatbed printer designed for the industrial-scale production of high-quality retail and point-of-sale graphics. It operates using a true flatbed architecture combined with a full-width print carriage, which minimises the print artifacts often associated with bidirectional printing passes. This system is engineered for high-volume environments that require rapid job turnaround. It handles a wide range of rigid media, including corrugated board, plastics, and wood, with a maximum media size of 3.22 x 1.6 metres.
A key feature of the Onset Panthera is its extensive automation capabilities. The platform can be configured with loaders, unloading robots, and the ‘High-5’ system for fully automated double-sided printing, significantly reducing manual handling and increasing throughput. It utilises Agfa’s Onset 560 UV ink set, which is GREENGUARD Gold certified and designed for lower ink consumption while delivering a wide colour gamut. The printer also incorporates advanced features such as ionizer bars for dust reduction and an automated nozzle mapping system to maintain consistent print quality over long runs.
Powered by Agfa’s Asanti workflow software, the printer is built to integrate seamlessly into existing production environments.
