Print Island and Printing United Alliance launch new communications initiative

Print Island has partnered with PRINTING United Alliance to launch a new communications initiative designed to amplify awareness of the association’s member-facing programmes.

Print Island has announced a new Alliance Communications Initiative in partnership with Printing United Alliance, North America’s largest printing trade association.

Print Island, a rapidly growing print media platform that identifies itself as the “Spotify for Print”, will develop and deliver a structured, ongoing communications programme as part of the agreement. The core aim of the initiative is to amplify awareness and engagement across the most important member-facing offerings provided by the Alliance to print professionals worldwide.

Rich Askam, Co-Founder of Print Island, comments on the partnership. He says, “This is a further sign that what we are trying to do with Print Island is becoming hugely important to the industry in getting their message across to the next generation of printers. Print Island’s goal to become the Spotify for Print is working!”

Printing United Alliance is well-known for producing the PRINTING United Expo, an innovative trade show that draws tens of thousands of global visitors annually. The event covers apparel, general commercial print, wide format, signage and display, labels and packaging, and in-plant production. Beyond the trade show, the Alliance delivers award-winning products and services that create real value for its members, reflecting a commitment to educating and developing the industry through an evolving economic landscape.

The new communications initiative will deliver consistent, structured programming across multiple pillars:

  • iLEARNING+: Connecting a wider audience of professionals with the industry’s most comprehensive e-learning courses and certifications, helping them build credentials and master new skills.
  • G7+ Certification: Communicating the value of the G7+ Expert Certification—the industry standard for consistent colour reproduction—and its direct impact on production efficiency and cost savings.
  • PRINTING AI: Supporting the Alliance in communicating its suite of AI solutions, assessment services, and adoption guidance for modern print shops.
  • Membership and Alliance: Championing the organisation’s role as the voice and community of the print sector, carrying the message that membership means standing behind the force that keeps the industry moving forward.

Ford Bowers, CEO of Printing United Alliance, adds, “We are excited to be working with Print Island, a new and influential voice in the printing industry that continues to highlight the growing appetite among printers to expand their knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies. Building on our increasing collaboration through areas like the Expo, the Alliance is pleased to amplify its extensive solutions through Print Island’s platform that help PSPs learn and move their businesses forward with relevant programs and services suited to today’s evolving landscape.”
