Woking start-up Only Boards has installed a complete print, cut, and finishing setup from CMYUK to launch its trade board and interior graphics services.
Woking-based start-up Only Boards has set up a complete in-house print and finishing facility from day one, investing in a full production setup from CMYUK. The installation gives the new business the machinery to print, cut, laminate, and finish rigid boards, vehicle graphics, and interior wallcoverings under one roof.

The equipment package from Shrewsbury-based distributor CMYUK centres on two Mimaki printers: a JFX 200-2513 EX UV LED flatbed for direct printing onto rigid boards, wood, and stone, and a UCJV330-160 roll-to-roll printer/cutter for vinyl, stickers, and custom wallpapers. Finishing is handled by a Mimaki CG-160FXII Plus cutting plotter, a Neolt laminator, and a JWEI JCUT Pro1625 digital cutting table equipped for routing, creasing, and knife cutting.
The business is co-owned by Pedro Guevara and silent partner Terry King, with Karina Matheus managing branding, marketing, and customer service. Trained as an industrial and graphic designer in Venezuela, Guevara worked on large-scale event spaces for brands such as Diageo and Oreo, while also running his own wallpaper firm. After moving to the UK, he spent five years as a head designer in vehicle wrapping alongside work in signage and embroidery, building practical insight into how materials and production link together.
Director at Only Boards, Pedro Guevara, commented, “I kept looking around and realised that every street, every building, every venue needs a sign or a board, from a toilet symbol to a stadium wayfinder. That’s when I thought what if I create a business where the speciality is only boards?”
Guevara spent months researching kit and comparing running costs before approaching suppliers. Working with CMYUK Sales Director Chris Martin, he visited the supplier’s Shrewsbury demonstration centre to test the machines side by side on live jobs before committing to the purchase. Guevara noted, “CMYUK were the ones who really responded. They came back to me quickly, engaged with detail, and helped shape the solution, not just quote a price.”
Reliable finishing was critical to keeping work in-house. Guevara chose the Neolt laminator for its simple, robust operation, adding, “I’ve always had a good experience with Neolt. The Italians, like the Japanese, are great engineers. When I saw how the laminator works, it was so simple, I really liked it. The price was really good as well.” Meanwhile, the JWEI 1625 cutting table handles automated finishing with routing, kiss cutting, and oscillating blades. Guevara is also pairing the table with an in-house 3D printer to make custom hardware, including exterior hotel signs where 3D-printed clips lock directly onto routed panels.
Only Boards is the first step in a broader plan. Guevara has also launched sister brand Only Walls to supply bespoke textured wallpapers and interior décor for corporate and hospitality clients, with plans to introduce automated online ordering as trade volumes grow. Guevara concluded, “CMYUK has given us exactly the platform we imagined. With this investment we have a production engine room that we trust, so we can now focus on ideas and growing our business.”
