OneVision Software launches first software update of 2025

The 25.1 release contains new features driven by customer feedback including an AI OCR module and improved nesting module

Spring marks the release of OneVision’s first major software update of the year, and the 2025 edition is packed with new features driven by customer feedback. The 25.1 release introduces highly requested features, including job ticket conversion, manual approval options, and expanded AI capabilities.

Update Highlights

The release includes optimisations and new features at various stages of the production process. Some of the latest enhancements are among others:

  • Simplifying the handling of job properties: The handling of job properties is simplified, as the software can generate job tickets automatically by converting the imported CSV to start jobs. This results in faster workflows as there is no more need for individual conversion.
  • Dynamic image display within job instructions: Specific manual approvals of a print job quality can be carried out more directly, as specific options were added in the job instructions, that automatically show the preview of the document and can be compared with the actual job.
  • AI OCR module in the normalisation process: An entirely new module that recognizes text from images and provides it as separate output. This allows, for example, text to automatically be generated from scanned documents.

New and optimised features for wide format printing

With FESPA Global Print Expo just around the corner, there are of course also some interesting innovations for the large format segment. The nesting module now accommodates slight misalignment of contours in duplex printing and supports varied bleed values on a single sheet, improving material savings. Tiling enables white space on tiled objects, facilitating post-production for gluing or welding. Additionally, with the milling feature it is now possible to preview the contours a milling tool generates.

“Stations” solution in production workflow

As the demand for digital and connected workflows grows, further digitalisation and automation are essential for optimising the production process. OneVision Software is continuously expanding its solutions in this direction, e.g., including “Stations,” which integrate analogue machines and manual work steps into digital workflows, minimising errors and improving tracking with step-by-step instructions and real-time feedback.
