Mutoh’s next-generation ink for transfer and direct polyester printing uses a refined formula with new colour ingredients
Mutoh EMEA announces the release of DS4ProFlex, a newly developed dye sublimation ink designed to deliver consistent, high-quality production printing results on a wide range of polyester-materials.
Created to work with Mutoh’s latest generation of water-based sublimation printers, including the XpertJet 1341WR-P, 1642WR-P and the future 1682SR DS Pro, the DS4ProFlex ink offers better colour control, reliable printing, and smoother workflows.

The ink, successor of Mutoh’s DS3 ink, uses a refined formula with new colour ingredients, improved grip on transfer paper and reduced sensitivity to temperature variations during printing. These upgrades translate to more stable colour reproduction, even during long production runs or when working with uncoated or lower-cost transfer paper.
The ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX for the DS4ProFlex ink is currently pending. The XPJ-1682SR-DSP printer is expected in summer 2025.
Key highlights of DS4 ProFlex ink :
- Bright, stable colours—even on budget or uncoated sublimation paper
- Consistent high-speed output with stable drop control
- Faster sublimation activation at 195°C, saving energy
- Reliable printing during long print jobs or temperature changes
- Renewed ink formulation to be ready for ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX® certification (for safe use in textiles)
- Compatible with both transfer and direct-to-polyester printing
DS4ProFlex comes in clean, degassed 1 kg pouches and is compatible with Mutoh’s advanced AccuFine piezo printhead technology. It is suitable for a range of uses including, but not limited to, sportswear, fashion, signage, and promotional items.
The ink will be available through Mutoh Europe’s network of certified distributors across the EMEA region.
