Mimaki has announced the launch of the UJ330H-160, a hybrid UV inkjet printer designed to bridge roll and rigid media production
Mimaki has expanded its 330 Series with the introduction of the UJ330H-160, a hybrid UV inkjet printer engineered to address the demand for flexible, space-conscious production. The system is designed for EMEA markets where print service providers require the ability to handle diverse applications—ranging from thin films to heavy boards—without investing in multiple dedicated machines.

A primary technical feature of the UJ330H-160 is its newly developed conveyor belt transport system. This mechanism ensures the stable feeding of flexible materials, such as fabric, synthetic leather, and thin window films, by preventing wrinkling or sagging during the print process. For rigid applications, the printer utilises integrated vacuum functionality and lock roller units to handle substrates up to 50.8mm thick, including foam boards and aluminium composite panels.
The system utilises LED UV curing technology, which requires no warm-up time and operates at low temperatures. This expands substrate compatibility to include heat-sensitive materials that might otherwise warp under traditional curing methods. When configured with a 2x CMYK ink set, the printer achieves production speeds of up to 22 square metres per hour, while a white ink configuration maintains a practical speed of 14 square metres per hour.
Arjen Evertse, Director of Sales at Mimaki Europe, said, “In today’s printing industry, companies need to be more agile than ever. They are expected to deliver diverse applications with fast turnaround times and uncompromising quality, often within limited production space. With the UJ330H-160, we provide a hybrid UV printing solution that enables customers to do more with one system, without sacrificing performance.”
The printer supports high-definition output with smooth gradients and includes a clear ink option for gloss, matte, and textured embossed effects. Operation is further supported by an automatic adjustment function that maintains optimal print conditions without requiring specialist expertise. For workflow management, the system integrates with RasterLink7 RIP software and the PICT cloud-based monitoring tool.
Sustainability remains a focal point, with the printer utilising Mimaki’s eco-friendly ELS-170 UV inks. These are SVHC- and CMR-free, ensuring compliance with European safety regulations and contributing to a safer working environment.
Mimaki is exclusively distributed in the UK and Ireland by Hybrid Services. Andy Gregory, Sales Director at Hybrid Services, said, “The introduction of the new hybrid model delivers a powerful combination of Mimaki’s wide format UV printing and flatbed technologies in a device that offers real-world productivity gains, low energy consumption and Mimaki’s latest and most sustainable UV inks.”
The UJ330H-160 is scheduled for release in April 2026. It will be showcased at the FESPA Global Print Expo in Barcelona and will receive a UK debut at the Hybrid Lounge, Crewe Alexandra FC, on 15 April.
