Marc Beresford and Adam Moore launch Spectra Service Solutions

Spectra Service Solutions is launched as a specialist engineering and applications support service for wide-format print hardware.

Spectra Service Solutions has launched a specialist engineering, applications, and technical support business for wide-format print service providers, OEMs, and resellers. Founded by industry veterans Marc Beresford and Adam Moore, the UK-based firm delivers breakdown response, preventative maintenance, machinery moves, operator training, and spare parts across domestic and European markets.

Operating out of a dedicated UK technical facility housing Fujifilm Acuity Ultra and Acuity Prime presses, Spectra’s engineers can replicate fault conditions, test media substrates, and refine machine settings away from customer production floors. The service addresses ongoing engineering demand for Fujifilm’s Acuity platform following the manufacturer’s decision to cease selling new Acuity Prime and Ultra hardware, alongside technical support for Inca Onset systems, Agfa derivatives, JHF, and RTZ equipment.

Co-founder and Director at Spectra Service Solutions, Marc Beresford, commented, “The printers themselves haven’t suddenly changed. The manufacturers are still there, the parts and ink remain available, and the technical knowledge exists to keep the equipment productive. Our role is to make that knowledge and engineering resource available to customers, distributors and manufacturers who need it.”

Beyond reactive field engineering, the company provides international second- and third-line technical backup for equipment distributors, alongside workflow diagnostics for commercial print shops. These application services evaluate media compatibility, colour management, and machine parameters to isolate whether production errors originate from hardware, substrates, or workflow setups. The provider also holds commonly required spare parts at its UK facility for direct dispatch, supported by flexible preventative maintenance programmes and call-out options.

Beresford concluded, “We have built Spectra around a simple principle: good equipment should remain productive for as long as it can. Whether a customer needs help with a breakdown, an application, an installation or a more complex technical issue, we can provide the specialist resource to keep the equipment working.”
