Hunter Luxury combines historical style with modern design in Regency Collection

Hunter Luxury has released The Regency Collection, a new range of packaging items designed to inspire designers and reduce time-to-market.

Hunter Luxury has announced the release of The Regency Collection. The full-service packaging supplier designed the new range to spark inspiration and provide a creative foundation for packaging designers.

The Regency Collection features powder-blue slub satin and gold detailing.

The collection consists of three specific items: a vanity case, a cosmetics pouch, and a drawstring purse, historically known as a reticule. Hunter Luxury states that the range draws directly from the style and setting of the Regency era while including a contemporary edge inspired by modern period dramas.

The release features patterned powder-blue slub satin and delicate gold detailing. The company aims to combine the authentic aesthetic of the era with the stylised elegance seen in contemporary interpretations. Specific details include a gold braided strap with tassels on the purse and a gold zip with a pearl-effect puller on the cosmetic bag. The vanity case includes a soft-touch lining and an internal mirror.

Amanda Wakeling, Product Inspiration Manager at Hunter Luxury, comments on the design choices. She says: “For me, the colours and the print are what stand out most. Drawing on the Regency era, with its silks, rich colours, and elegant garden motifs, we’ve used powder-blue shades and a delicate wisteria print to evoke the period’s aristocratic refinement – while keeping the look contemporary and wearable for today’s beauty consumer.”

Wakeling continues: “The items themselves also reference the era. The little drawstring purse can be worn as a crossbody – those were called reticules in the Regency period, when women used to carry these delicate silk purses when out promenading. That felt like a nice historical reference. And the vanity bag and cosmetic bag are all little luxuries with an aristocratic elegance, so we added a small pearl to the zip puller because pearls are very reminiscent of that era. It’s all about elegance and classical femininity, translated for modern audiences rather than TV adaptations. We looked at what women valued in fashion at the time and then viewed it through a contemporary, glamorous lens.”

The Inspiration Collections demonstrate the technical capabilities of the supplier. Brands can tweak and tailor every element of the Regency Collection to meet specific requirements. Alternatively, companies can supply the products as-is for white-label applications. Hunter Luxury notes that these options can speed up time-to-market by providing a ready-made creative framework for designers.
