FastSigns Scotland has shared positive feedback following its role as an early beta site for the Fujifilm Acuity Triton printer and AQUAFUZE ink.
FastSigns Scotland has reported a wide range of operational benefits following its selection as a global beta site for Fujifilm’s new Acuity Triton printer. The Glasgow-based signage and vehicle branding specialist installed the machine, powered by AQUAFUZE ink technology, in early 2025.

Since the installation, the company has worked closely with Fujifilm to validate the printer and ink system in a real-world production environment. FastSigns Scotland states that the technology has delivered significant improvements in flexibility, productivity, and application quality.
The Acuity Triton, combined with AQUAFUZE ink, represents a strategic development in wide-format printing. Fujifilm designed the system to provide the benefits of both eco-solvent and UV technologies in a single solution. The manufacturer claims the technology enables instant drying and outstanding scratch resistance while offering the flexibility required for demanding applications such as vehicle graphics.
Established over 35 years ago, FastSigns Scotland operates as an independent company serving the hospitality, retail, and manufacturing sectors. To date, the team has delivered more than 30,000 vehicle wraps and commercial fleet graphics. Robert Lambie, Managing Director, identified the Acuity Triton as a solution that could combine precision with environmental responsibility.
Lambie comments on the collaboration: “Having been in the sign industry for over 36 years, I’ve worked with most sign and print technologies. Each ink type brought something new to the table, so when I was approached by Fujifilm, to effectively join their R&D team in testing this new ink technology, my curiosity got the better of me!”.
Regarding the machine’s performance, Lambie adds: “The machine is very easy to run, from loading media to the RIP software – everything just works with very little effort. The print quality is brilliant: vibrant, razor-sharp, even on text only a few millimetres high. And being able to laminate prints straight out of the machine is a massive bonus.”.
Sustainability remains a priority for the business, which holds ISO 9001 accreditation and is currently working towards ISO 14001. Lambie concludes: “We’ve been ISO 9001 accredited for nine years, and we’re now working towards ISO 14001 to strengthen our environmental responsibility. AQUAFUZE LED UV, water-based ink is a genuine game-changing technology – reducing energy use and cutting running costs, while also opening up more media options. It’s the right step for our business! “.
Shaun Holdom, Global Business Development Director at Fujifilm, states: “Having FastSigns Scotland as early beta partners has been invaluable. Their real-world feedback during the beta phase has been important, and their results speak for themselves. This partnership has also proven the ability of AQUAFUZE technology to deliver across a wide spectrum of applications. This is a true hybrid solution that brings together the best of eco-solvent and UV ink, and it’s been designed to make printers’ lives easier and their businesses more profitable. We truly believe it represents the next major leap forward in wide format print technology.”.
