EFI and Agfa-Gevaert have agreed to combine EFI and Agfa’s Digital Printing Solutions business under a joint venture owned by Siris and Agfa.
Electronics for Imaging (EFI) and Agfa-Gevaert have entered into a definitive agreement to combine Agfa’s Digital Printing Solutions business (Agfa DPS) with EFI, creating a global, full-service industrial inkjet provider. Under the terms of the transaction, private equity firm Siris will hold a 60 per cent majority stake, while Agfa-Gevaert retains a 40 per cent interest in the newly formed business.
Building upon a technical partnership established between the two manufacturers in 2024, the combined entity brings together complementary technology portfolios across high-growth industrial print sectors. On a pro forma basis, the combined company expects to generate approximately €540m ($625m) in revenue for 2026, serving thousands of customers across more than 100 countries.

Product lines under the joint umbrella encompass single-pass corrugated packaging, roll-to-roll, textile, display graphics, and decor printing platforms. EFI contributes its Nozomi, VUTEK, and Reggiani systems, while Agfa DPS adds its Jeti TAURO, Onset PANTHERA, and SpeedSet ORCA industrial presses alongside unified ink development, workflow software, and global field service operations.
CEO of Agfa-Gevaert, Pascal Juéry, commented, “Today’s announcement reflects our long-term commitment to digital printing and our conviction in the future of the industry. By bringing together Agfa DPS and EFI, we are creating a stronger business with greater scale, broader access and enhanced innovation capabilities. Rather than continue as a standalone business, we are choosing to partner with Siris to unlock the next phase of accelerated growth for our DPS business while maintaining meaningful upside for Agfa’s stakeholders.”
CEO of EFI, Frank Pennisi, added, “Our partnership with Agfa over the past two years has highlighted the strength of our complementary technologies, expertise and teams. This combination is a natural next step that allows us to build on that momentum with a broader platform, accelerating innovation and expanding the solutions we can deliver to customers across industrial inkjet.”
Subject to regulatory approvals, employee consultations, and customary closing conditions, the transaction is expected to complete by the end of 2026.
