Durst Group has launched a multi-year collaboration with TUM Venture Labs to develop connected, learning production systems.
Durst Group is stepping directly into Europe’s top robotics and AI circles through a new multi-year partnership with Germany’s TUM Venture Labs. The industrial printing specialist, which is currently celebrating its 90th anniversary, has joined the network as a Platinum Partner, making it the first Italian business to enter the deep-tech ecosystem run by the Technical University of Munich and UnternehmerTUM. Together the partners aim to bridge the gap between traditional mechanical engineering and smart, autonomous manufacturing.
The partnership will focus on the Robotics/AI Lab in Munich, a leading hub for embedded systems, digital twins and physical AI. Durst aims to leverage this collaboration to advance its proprietary Kyveris platform, an intelligent production system designed to seamlessly connect machinery, data and software intelligence. Through the implementation of its AuRo-Layer technology, Durst intends to bridge this digital network with physical factory floor elements, optimising autonomous workflows, material handling and human-robot interaction across printing and adjacent manufacturing sectors.

The framework will facilitate continuous knowledge transfer, linking Durst with researchers, students and emerging deep-tech start-ups to solve real-world industrial challenges.
