Dale Studios invests in the Agfa Anapurna Ciervo H3200 to increase wide format capacity and improve production efficiency at its Leicester facility.
Dale Studios has updated its wide format production line with the installation of an Agfa Anapurna Ciervo H3200. The investment, made in November 2025, follows the company’s evaluation of the machine at the Print Show earlier that year and marks the third Agfa engine to join the Leicester-based firm’s fleet.

By replacing an older 3.2m system with the Ciervo H3200, Dale Studios has expanded its capacity for retail displays, store rollouts, and window graphics without requiring additional floor space. The new machine operates alongside an existing Anapurna H2500i, providing a hybrid production setup capable of handling both high-volume board runs and intricate, bespoke displays.
A primary driver for the upgrade was the Ciervo’s enhanced printhead configuration and its integrated protective cover. These design features improve image consistency while shielding the print area from contamination and reducing noise levels within the print room. Furthermore, the machine’s continuous board feeding function allows operators to load new substrates while the printer remains in motion, reducing the downtime typically associated with manual loading.
Ben Millard, Managing Director at Dale Studios, said, “Agfa has been a constant in our growth journey and it has been great to partner with them through the years for our wide-format needs. With the new Ciervo H3200 we’re already seeing significant benefits in terms of throughput and capacity, which has helped future-proof us as we scale over the next three years. The Ciervo is exactly what we need for where we are as a business. We do big sheet runs, but we also do bespoke, very intricate displays, so the range of work is huge. This new machine has more print heads, more speed, and the technology is a step up from what we had before.”
The partnership between the two companies has spanned several equipment generations, allowing Agfa to tailor its support to the specific workflow requirements of the studio. The increased speed and stability provided by the Ciervo H3200 ensure that Dale Studios can remain reactive to short-lead client requests while maintaining the overhead required for larger contracts.
Emma Plant, Sales Manager at Agfa, added, “Working with Dale Studios over multiple Anapurna generations means we understand exactly where they want to go as a business. This latest upgrade has given them the extra speed, stability, and smart capacity they need within the same footprint, so they can confidently keep production running smoothly, even at peak times.”
