BSGA Announces Key Executive Appointments

Craig Brown becomes Chair, Linda Edwards is the new Managing Director and Sue Hewick becomes Office Manager

The British Sign and Graphics Association (BSGA) has announced key new executive appointments. Craig Brown has moved from CEO to the position of Chairman, Linda Edwards has been named the new managing director of the BSGA and Sue Hewick is named as Office Manager.

With years of experience in leadership and a deep understanding of the industry, Linda Edwards is committed to strengthening support for members, improving how the BSGA operates, and ensuring the Association is a leading voice in the sector. 

“This is an exciting time for the BSGA,” said Linda. “The landscape of the signage and graphics industry is changing, and my focus is to ensure that our members are supported at every step. We will be enhancing our services, strengthening our engagement with members, and ensuring that BSGA is well-positioned to address the evolving challenges and opportunities in the industry. My passion for education and training will also be central to our work, as we equip members with the skills and resources they need to succeed in an ever-changing environment.”

Craig Brown has been appointed as the new Chairman. Craig, with his extensive industry experience and network, will bring a fresh perspective to the role, focusing on advocacy and collaboration within the sector. His leadership will be key in driving initiatives that support BSGA members and raise standards across the signage industry.

Together with Linda and the Board, we will continue advancing the interests of our members and the industry.”

Joined in 1998, Sue Hewick is the rock upon which the BSGA is built. She handles all matters to do with administration, finance and office management and her new position reflects this role.

Key Updates from the BSGA Board Meeting

The appointments were confirmed during the BSGA Board meeting, held in person for the first time since the pandemic. Chaired by David Allen, BSGA President, the meeting focused on setting the direction for the Association’s next phase of growth.

“We are entering an exciting phase for the BSGA,” said David Allen, President of the BSGA. “With Linda and Craig now in place, supported by Sue, we have the leadership we need to make real change. Their knowledge, insight, and commitment to our members are just what we need to face upcoming challenges and seize new opportunities. The aim is to establish new industry benchmarks and help our members lead in innovation and development.”

The Board will continue meeting regularly to ensure initiatives are on track and the BSGA remains responsive to the needs of its members.
